Privacy notice
English — transparency for short-link redirects
This notice describes how Leftlink processes data when someone opens a short URL. It is provided for transparency and should be reviewed by your legal counsel, especially for Swiss data protection requirements (revDSG / FADP).
What happens when a short link is opened
Short links perform an immediate server-side HTTP redirect to the destination website. You should not see an intermediate marketing or interstitial page.
What we may log (analytics)
For operating the service and understanding usage, we may store a minimal analytics record for each redirect, such as timestamp, coarse device/browser classification from a truncated user-agent string, referrer hostname (not the full URL), and an optional coarse region if your infrastructure provides a trusted header. We avoid storing raw IP addresses in this application design.
Retention
Event-level analytics should be retained only as long as necessary. Configure retention and deletion to match your policies.
Controller / contact
Insert your organisation’s controller details and contact for data subject requests.
